Risk Management

Q-Pulse Risk is a visualisation tool. It incorporates the bowtie model of risk assessment, moving away from the static format of a spreadsheet. The bowtie model makes it straightforward to plan for failure by mapping out the possible threats which could result in an incident, allowing you to implement controls against each threat or consequence to aid with prevention and mitigation.

Understand your key risks better

Help everyone understand the risks associated with operations by showing threats, controls and consequences visually with the bowtie method, which is easier to digest than a static spreadsheet. This allows you to contribute to an understanding of operations, and actively participate in controlling and minimising risk.

Get a clearer picture of risks

Build risk matrices to meet your needs and take a comprehensive viewpoint with fully configurable risk matrices, including multi-perspective severity assessments. Get a more holistic view of risk information, helping to prevent mistakes which arise from silo thinking by switching between threat, control, and risk centric views.

Keep information secure

Assignable security permissions and user roles ensure that the confidentiality of the risk information is preserved and that only those people with the appropriate role permissions can perform specific tasks within the risk management system. Automatic email notifications let people know when their input is required.

Take a risk-based approach to quality

When a non-conformance, occurrence or audit finding is raised within Q-Pulse, this is easily interlinked with a risk in Q-Pulse Risk. The same data is used to map out a risk assessment in the bowtie risk model; allowing you to put controls and mitigations in place to manage risks. This feeds back into your QMS to manage and drive outcomes.
