Enhanced features: v6.4 updates

19 October 2018

PleaseReview v6.4 brings a host of enhancements to the existing key features.

This latest release is now available for all existing customers. Key features of this release are listed below:

More Intuitive Co-authoring Experience – ReviewZones and EditZones have been combined, now just called Zones, this change introduces a simpler permission handling and co-authoring set-up for the review owner and makes the contributor experience more intuitive. These new Zones allows different sections of a document to be authored within word itself and then published back into PleaseReview for review. This all combines to provide more control for review owners and a better experience for contributors.

Enhanced word integration - Changes and comments made in Word now appear as PleaseReview comments and changes and open comments and changes from PleaseReview display in Word. Also, supporting documentation attachments added to comments in PleaseReview are now embedded into final version of the document once downloaded.

Capacity assignment - Review owners can now allocate unique reviewer capacity to each participant in the review. For example, a reviewer could have the capacity relative to their role or department, e.g. ‘legal’. This is entirely customisable allowing you to set up capacity categories which make most sense for your reviews.

In-review opinion functionality - Review participants can be assigned the ability to provide their ‘opinion’ within PleaseReview. There are lots of ways this can be used, from a basic opinion to a ‘soft’ approvals option. For example, the opinion could be ‘approved’, and a reviewer could set their opinion of the document to approved. Again, this is entirely customisable to use in a way most appropriate for your process.

Better comment placement in PDF reviews – we have changed the way comments are displayed in PDF reviews, ensuring that regardless of the size or orientation of the page proposed comments and changes will always be visible on screen. Never miss a comment or proposed change again.

PDF Review performance improvements – We have made significant improvements to the general performance and handling of large PDF document reviews.
