Coruson

Coruson March Update

17 April 2020

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we want you to know that we’re continuing to make Coruson better – making it more robust, more scalable and more secure – so that your critical systems have the consistency and continuity they need in these uncertain times.

What does this mean for me?

At Ideagen, we continually improve our software to give you the best experience possible. We’re reaffirming our commitment to you by putting even more into Coruson and we’ll continue to bring you new and improved features throughout 2020 and beyond.

Over the last few months, we’ve already rolled out functionality that makes it quicker and easier for air carriers to report to the European safety regulator, as well as introducing dark mode, autosave and analytics functionality to the new Coruson Reporting mobile app.

What happens next?

We’re introducing improved business analytics that will let you connect tools like PowerBI or Tableau to our data warehouse to make it quicker and easier for you to display and use Coruson data.

This will be open to beta testers at the end of April, but places are limited, so contact us at support@ideagen.com now to get involved.

We’ll also bring you improved email administration at the end of May. This lets you choose both which emails you want to receive from Coruson and who should receive emails, as well as letting you make changes to email content.

At the end of June, we’ll also introduce additional language support for Korean, Malay and Vietnamese.

As we mentioned last month, we’re adding audit functionality to the new Coruson Reporting mobile app at the end of May. This will also be open to beta testers at the end of April, but, again, places are limited, so get in touch now at support@ideagen.com.

At the end of June, we’ll also introduce document functionality to the mobile app and, at the end of the year, we’ll add improved security for reporting that will give you better control over what reporters can see and edit on reports.

Are there any other improvements?

We also have what we affectionately call the Pains list. This is a list of smaller improvements to current functionality that should give you the best experience possible in using Coruson.

We want to hear from you on which improvements would make using Coruson that little bit better, so, in a forthcoming communication, we’ll ask you to vote on which of these you’d like to see first.

Finally, users of several of our products, including Coruson, need to manage additional processes such as training and competence. Beginning next year, we’re therefore building the ability to do so, as part of what we call the Ideagen Common Services Architecture, or ICSA.

We’ll have a detailed look at ICSA and what it means for Coruson and you in our next communication at the end of this month.
