More uses for Pentana Disclose

Pentana Disclose is currently used to provide checklists to ensure compliance with financial statement disclosure, however, this software can be used for any type of checklist. It would be particularly useful for checklists where users have options as to what they need to answer depending on particular scenarios. These scenarios could be detailed in the tailoring question, ensuring users only see the relevant questions for their scenario in the main checklist section.

Application forms

For example, imagine an application form – it will often ask questions such as ‘Have you lived at this address for more than 3 years?’.  If you answer no, then you need to provide previous addresses.  With this software, you will be asked the question in the tailoring section and if you answer ‘No’ this would trigger the previous addresses prompt to appear. It means you would only answer relevant sections and questions, without needing to think about what information you need to provide.

Product manufacturing

For another example, let’s imagine you are in the manufacturing industry. A product being built may require different parts depending on the specifications of the item. The tailoring section can ask questions about the specifications of the product and therefore lead you to the main checklist detailing the part(s) you require.

These are just two examples but really, the possibilities are endless. If you have to comply with particular legislation or are working with ISO standards, then having a tailored checklist ensures that nothing gets missed out.
